About Vrunda Patel, MD

Vrunda Patel, MD, is passionate about the role that outstanding pediatric care can have in shaping a child’s life. Through her work as a member of the team of pediatricians and family medicine specialists at Edison Health in Edison, New Jersey, Dr. Patel helps kids learn how to play an active role in their lifelong health and wellness.  

Dr. Patel completed her medical degree at the Medical University of Sofia in Bulgaria. Upon arriving in the United States, she completed a residency in pediatrics at Maimonides Children’s Hospital in Brooklyn, in New York City. 

Her professional experience includes work as an urgent care pediatric physician in addition to roles as a medical assistant and medical scribe. Dr. Patel is also experienced in pediatric medical research and advocacy.  

Patient education is a central focus for Dr. Patel. She believes that even the youngest patients can learn how to identify how they are feeling and take action to feel and function better.
